The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on December 16, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Acme Penn Valley was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Not recording proper sanitizer concentration at ware wash sink in Kosher area.
  • Water spray bottle stored in meat area lacking label.
  • Mouse like droppings on under deli style refrigeration at kosher area. Clean and sanitize area. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH.
  • Paint peeling on compressor unit in kosher meat prep room.
  • Cardboard lining the floor in meat prep room.
  • Damage wall in ware house walk in freezer.
  • Wet mop head stored on floor at mop sink area.
