The City of Allentown conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/28/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Primo Pizza and Grill was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Raw Chicken stored in the walk-in refrigerator above olives. Raw chicken should be stored below all other products in the refrigerator.
  • Mopping equipment stored next to clean dishes on rack. Move mop and bucket to new location away from clean food equipment.
  • Wire racks in the walk-in refrigerator show accumulation of dirt and rust. Replace racks in the refrigerator.
  • Deli slicer was encrusted with dried food from slicing and was not cleaned properly. Wash, rinse and sanitize the deli slicer.
  • Break Fluid stored above the hand washing sink along with shaving cream and mouth wash. Remove these items and store in an appropriate place away from food service/prep area.
