Angelo’s Pizza fumbles 7th straight inspection in King of Prussia; Soap, paper towels lacking at front hand wash sinks

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/24/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Angelo’s Pizza was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 2 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer October 31, 2016 

  • Oct 31, 2016- passes inspection with 3 lower level “Lack of Good Retail Practices” violations.
  • May 4, 2017- 6 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation. 
  • Oct 23, 2017- 6 violations with 3 food borne illness risk factor violations. 
  • Sep 18, 2018- 4 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation. 
  • Dec 6, 2018- 2 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation. 
  • Mar 27, 2019- 3 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation. 
  • Aug 16, 2019- 5 violations with 1 food borne illness risk factor violation. 

 

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Soap, paper towels lacking at front hand wash sinks

  • Can of pesticide stored in basement
