The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 4/6/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Arooga’s was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found. The inspector added to the report, “Facility will receive a warning letter as a result of this inspection. Letter should be responded to as directed.”
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. Chlorine strips are needed.
- Sewage / wastewater from the food facility is not being disposed of properly to an approved sewage system.*
- The hand wash sink located in the cook line area does not have water at a temperature of at least 100°F.
The inspection report did not further elaborate on this violation.
