The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 29, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the China House Restaurant in King of Prussia was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 11 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Expired license posted. Facility must contact office to resolve issue.
- Raw stored above ready to eat food items(walk-in cooler)
- Foods uncovered in some cold units.
- Foods stored on floor walk-in cooler.
- Food stored in baskets with holes
- Facility using 3 bay sink to prep food item -food prep sink blocked.
- Frost build-up walk-in freezer
- Use of Black and Decker tool to mix. (Must remove and only use food grade equipment)
- Door gaskets unclean walk-in refrigerator/freezer
- Employee restroom door propped open
- Filters above cook line equipment unclean
