The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 3/13/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Caitlyn & Cody’s Diner & Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Employee beverages are stored uncovered in the kitchen area. Store all employee beverages covered to prevent contamination. Employee beverages were covered.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020  
  • Food employee is not washing their hands as required after handling soiled tableware and before handling clean tableware, equipment, utensils. CFSM must review hand washing requirements with staff. Employee properly washed hands.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020  
  • Concentration is over 400 pm in the sanitizer buckets. Decrease sanitizer to 50-200 ppm as required for chlorine. Sanitizer was reduced to 200 ppm.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020  
  • Facility is cooling food products properly in shallow pans and in the walk in cooled but are not keeping adequate records. Keep records to insure food is cooled from 135°F to 70°F within 2 hours and from 135°F to 41°F.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020 
  • Utensils are stored on oven handles in kitchen area. Store utensils on a clean surface in a protected area. Tongs were properly stored.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/202
