The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 15, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Domino’s Pizza in Bensalem was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 8 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • There is no food safety manager certified by this Department (CFSM) on duty as required. A CFSM must be on duty at all times the facility is open and/or food is being prepared. A completed application(SA-71)for CFSM, or proof of enrollment in an approved safety class must be submitted to the Department.  Repeat Violation.
  • Wares designated as clean on storage shelves have food residue and labels on them. Wares must be clean to sight and touch. 
  • Cans of paint and spray bottles of cleaners are stored with pizza boxes. Toxic chemicals must be stored separate from and below food and single service articles.
  • There is a gap at the bottom of the back exit door. The door must be tight-fitting to prevent entrance of insects, rodents or pests.  Repeat Violation. 
  • Fruit flies observed in the back area by the mop sink, 3 compartment sink and washing machine. Eliminate sources of standing water and check to make sure floor drains and other breeding sites are clean.
  • Wares are stacked together while still wet. Clean equipment and utensils must be stored covered or inverted, and in a self-draining position that allows air drying.
  • After use, mops shall be placed in a position that allows them to air-dry without soiling walls, equipment or supplies.
