The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 5/14/2020 following a complaint. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Dunkin’ Donuts was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
This latest inspection marks the fourth failure to be, “In Compliance” since November 20, 2019:
- Nov 20, 2019- 6 violations including 1 food borne illness risk factor during a routine inspection
- Feb 7, 2020- 5 violations including 2 food borne illness risk factor following an inspection after a complaint
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Lacking single service towels for hand sink – Corrected at time of inspection. COS
- Interior of ice machine unclean. Clean and sanitize according to owner’s manual. At time of inspection, ice machine empty and staff starting to sanitize internal equipment. Must wash, rinse, and sanitize inside of the unit as well. (Food contact surface)
- Observed containers/boxes of food stored on floor. Corrected at time of inspection. COS
- Interior of cooler units and in the back of bain marie unclean.
