The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 3/5/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Conshohocken Brewing Company in Bridgeport was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 9 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
Conshohocken Brewing Company in Bridgeport has passed only one inspection since September 2016 and that was a re-inspection following required following an, “Out of Compliance” inspection:
- Sep 2, 2016- 6 violations cited during routine inspection
- Jan 26, 2017- 7
- Aug 16, 2017- 6
- Jul 5, 2018- 11
- Nov 29, 2018- 8
- Apr 2, 2019- 17
- Aug 7, 2019- 20 violations cited following MCOPH receiving a complaint from the public. This inspection was also considered a routine inspection as the restaurant was due for an inspection
- Aug 21, 2019- PASSED a re-inspection with 2 lower level, “Lack of Good Retail Practices” violations
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
Facility lacking a current MCOPH CFSM. Facility has 30 business days to submit reciprocity application or submit proof of registration in an approved food safety course.
Chemical spray bottle stored amongst food and/or food contact items.
Common name label lacking on squeeze bottles at cooks line.
Personal jacket hanging on the dry storage shelves
Food handler lacking beard restraint
Aluminum foil lining the drip tray under the cooks line grill
Ceiling tiles stained in the upstairs unisex restroom
Dust build-up on ceiling tiles surrounding ceiling vents throughout the kitchen.
Dust accumulating on the ceiling heating vents throughout the kitchen (risks falling onto food and food contact surfaces)
