Cracker Barrel in Trevose inspection finds ice machine lid and baffle were accumulating mold-like substances

The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/25/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

– Ice machine lid and baffle were accumulating mold-like substances.
– Ice scooper was stored on top of the ice machine.
Ice machine was cleaned and the ice scooper was cleaned and sanitized during this inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
Time/temperature control for safety (TCS) food must be cold held at or below 41ºF. Cheese in the Salad prep drawer was at an unsafe temperature. This was discarded.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
Observed wares on storage racks stacked and wet. All wares and utensils must be completely dry before storing or stacking. These items were washed and sanitized during the inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
