The Bucks County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 9/2/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the D Mart Farmer’s Market was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
Sink in employee restroom not supplied with soap and paper towels. Corrected On-Site. Repeat Violation. |
Replace door sweep on back door to prevent pest/vector entry. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 09/16/2020 |
Glue trap showed insect and rodent activity. Packaged food in aisle 4 showed rodent activity. Food was discarded by manager. Notify pest control company immediately of findings and treat accordingly. Submit pest control records of recent months to this Department. Be sure that type of pest/treatment is specified. Invoices were provided for Dec-Feb 2020 New Violation. Surfaces of equipment that are nonfood-contact surfaces, but are exposed to splash, spillage or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning, shall be constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent and smooth material. Replace the cardboard beneath the produce (shelf for jaggery cane sugar) with a cleanable material. Continue to replace cardboard under dry goods at frequency to prevent accumulation of food residue. New Violation. |
The following must be cleaned and sanitized and maintained at a frequency to keep clean to sight and touch: -Fan blade housing in front walk-in -Walls, condensation pipe, fan blade housing in walk-in #2 -Replace foam on pipes in walk-in #2 to eliminate mold-like accumulation -Replace seals in reach-in #20, 26, 28 -Thoroughly clean and sanitize basin in store room New Violation.
