The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 3/12/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Fort Cherry Junior Senior High School was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 1 violation was found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • The food-contact surfaces of equipment and utensils was 156*F and did not reach 160 degrees F during the sanitizing cycle of the high temperature dishwasher as evidenced by the max holding temperature. Facility is switching to styrofoam and will sanitize dishware in the 3 bowl sink. Dishwasher cannot be used to sanitize dishes until it is repaired. This was noted on the previous inspection report. Facility was/is in the process of replacing the dishwasher.
