The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/29/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations From the Boot was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Facility lacking CFSM. The Facility provided documentation from the chef for an approved food safety course. The Chef stated course would be completed within the next ten business days. Facility instructed apply for CFSM immediately upon completion of course and to post CFSM immediately upon receiving.

  • Personal use beverage lacking lid and straw at shelving at cooks line. Facility voluntarily removed and discarded.

  • Uncovered food items at basement walk in freezer. Facility covered during time of inspection.

  • Mouse like droppings/activity observed in facility basement areas in and around walk in cooler / ice machines. Facility instructed to clean and sanitize effect areas immediately and hire professional pest control services. Facility instructed to provide work order from professional pest control operator within ten business days and continue with treatments as needed. EHS provide email during time of inspection.

  • Mop stored drying in bucket. Facility relocated during time of inspection.
