The Chester County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/4/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Milan Cafe was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Ms. Karen Melendres-Pataleon has a valid ServSafe Certificate. Within 7 days make application for Chester County Certified Food Manager Certificate.
- t the time of inspection inadequate hot water was supplied in the facility. Water temperature measured 81 degrees F. The gas fired water heater pilot light was not on. The facility is required closure until repaired. You are required to have hot water of at least 100 degrees F at the employee hand washing sinks and at least 110 degrees F at the three compartment sink.
