The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/15/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Sheraton Inn was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • 1. The mechanical dishwasher is not sanitizing properly. Unit is not reaching required sanitizing temperature.
    Facility must usse the 3-compartment sink for all ware-washing until the mechanical unit is serviced and sanitizing properly.
    Submit service report to BCDH.

    The interior surfaces of the mechanical dishwasher are unclean. Thoroughly clean and sanitize prior to use.

    2. The interior baffle within the 2nd floor ice machine contains a black, mold-like accumulation.
    Unit must be emptied of ice and interior surfaces detail cleaned and sanitized.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 06/26/2020  

  • 1. Temperature in the left-side True 3-door prep unit was measured at 51°F.
    Time/temperature control for safety (TCS) food must be cold held at or below 41ºF.
    All time/temperature control for Safety (TCS) products within must be discarded.

    2. Ambient temperature of Walk-in cooler #1 was measured at 48°F. Opened container of ketchup in cooler measured at 48°F for confirmation. Unopened turkey was discarded during inspection. TCS products within this unit must be discarded.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 06/15/2020  

  • 1. Fan covers in Walk-in cooler #1 contain a grey, mold-like substance.
    Detail clean and sanitize.

    2. Various areas around/below shelving and equipment contain food debris/spillage/residue.
    Clean and maintain.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 06/26/2020
