The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/24/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Arby’s in Norristown was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 10 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Facility operating without a current MCOPH license. Facility has 5 business days to submit license application and appropriate fee. Failure to comply can lead to possible legal action or closure.

Facility lacking visible accurate thermometer in walk-in freezer.

Cutting boards discolored and displaying deep grooves.

Ice build-up in walk-in freezer.

Debris build-up under self-serve beverage station.

Food debris on floor of reach-in freezer next to fryers.

Missing cove base at end of front counter and at wall across from sandwich prep unit.

Floor under soda dispensing boxes in dry storage unclean.
