Inspection at El Limon in Ardmore finds “Rodent-like droppings observed front counter,” 7 violations

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/25/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the El Limon in Ardmore was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Expired license posted

  • Expired MCOPH CFSM certificate. Facility has 30 days to submit paper work

  • Soap/paper towels lacking at back hand wash sink

  • Foods uncovered in cold units

  • Proper date marking lacking on prepared food items in secondary containers and/or packaging.

  • Rodent-like droppings observed front counter. Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH

  • Stained ceiling tiles dining area
