The Allegheny County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/26/21 at Lindo’s Restaurant.  During this inspection a total of 16 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Lamb recently cut off the vertical broiler is noted at 56F in the walk-in cooler. There are no cooling charts for cooked meats such as lamb and bacon.
  • Raw shelled eggs are sitting out at 57F. If eggs are sitting out for use on the cook line, they should be chilled on ice.
  • Lamb that is sliced off the rotating vertical broiler is noted at 70F. Once the lamb is sliced, it should be either hot held at 135F or cooled to 41F and held refrigerated. If cooling the lamb, cooling charts must be used to keep track of the temperature.
  • Bacon cooked yesterday in the walk-in cooler is not date marked with a preparation date or a discard date.
  • Knives are stored in clean, non-running water. Store in-use utensils (wash, rinse, and sanitize at least ever 4 hours) in running water, or in water that is 135F or above.

  • The faucet on the two bowl sink is loose and not sealed to the sink.
