The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/26/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Bar Lucca was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Improper date marking for shellstock tags after product has been consumed/sold.
  • Interior of bulk ice machine unclean- food contact surface
  • Food items held in prep unit observed with internal temperature greater than 41 degrees F. Facility voluntarily discarded all TCS food items in top section of prep unit.
  • 1st prep unit on cook line observed with internal temperature greater than 41 degrees F. Facility may not use equipment for holding TCS foods until repaired and given written permission from MCOPH. Send completion work order stating internal temperature to MCOPH.
  • Floor to ceiling doors open to outside without protective barrier. (allows access to vermin)
  • Torn door gasket on pizza prep unit.
