The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture¬† conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 4/9/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Peterson’s Sunoco Gas Station was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 2violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Ice machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Observed an accumulation black filth on the shield, drip tray and cover of the ice machine. Machine must be emptied, cleaned, and sanitized before use.
  • No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the restroom to remind food employees to wash their hands.
