The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/7/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Lavern’s Place Restaurant was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Observed there are roaches in the establishment. Owner has Cline pest control treating the building on a weekly basis.
  • Employees not washing there hands after clearing a table and then serve food to a customer. COS
  • Observed there is a accumulation of dust and grease inside of the hood canopy.
