The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/26/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Marco’s Pizza was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
Both hand sink basins were full with items. Hand washing sink can only be used for handwashing. The basins cannot be used for storing or washing any other items. Items were removed during the inspection. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Observed chicken stored above ready to eat foods in a prep bottom. Chicken was relocated immediately. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Food is being prepped and placed directly into the prep top unit wells. This is not approved. Prepped food must be placed in the walk-in cooler and cooled to 41 degrees prior to cold holding in the prep top. Prep units are not designed to cool foods. Placing out of temperature foods in the prep unit will result in unsafe temperatures for all foods in the unit. These items were discarded. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Door to the facility is propped open. Door must be a self-closing door with a flush seal to prevent pest entrance into the facility. Door was closed during the inspection. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Observed cardboard being repurposed throughout refrigeration units and the food prep area. All surfaces in the food prep area must be easily cleanable, smooth, and non-absorbent. Replace with approved materials. Repeat Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/03/2020 |
