Inspection McDonald’s in Hatboro; Several fruit fly like insects were observed at front service area, 7 violations

McDonald’s Restaurant

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/23/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations theMcDonald’s Restaurant in Hatboro was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Employee beverage, water bottle stored on shelf above food preparation area. Removed.

  • No visible Ambient temperature thermometer in under counter cheese refrigerator and frozen chicken freezer.

  • Several fruit fly like insects were observed at front service area. Facility must have licensed pest control for target pest within the next 10 business days and email work order to Jcinque@montcopa.org

  • Single service cup holder at front counter area not elevated a minimum of 6 inches off ground level.

  • Interior of over head freezer with frost/ ice build up. Defrost.

  • No quaternary sanitizer test strips available at ware wash area. Facility had test strips available in office and stocked at ware wash sink at time of inspection.

  • Dumpster side door left open.
