Inspection Quakertown Target; Ants behind prep unit in area of Starbucks kitchen, Several gallons of milk past sell-by date

The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 6/9/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Target in Quakertown was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • There is no food safety manager certified by this Department (CFSM) on duty as required. A CFSM must be on duty at all times the facility is open and/or food is being prepared. A completed application(SA-71)for CFSM, or proof of enrollment in an approved safety class must be submitted to the Department.

    Bucks County application forms were provided to managers.  Repeat Violation.  

  • Several gallons of milk past sell-by date. One Beyond Beef product found to be past sell-by date. Removed immediately.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.  
  • Ants observed behind prep unit in area of Starbucks kitchen not currently being used. Notify pest control company immediately to address. Provide documentation of visit via email. Last record of visit is 4/15/20. Monthly self -inspections done.

    Cafe oven nearby should have crumbs removed to avoid pest attraction.

    Double door in Receiving area has light visible through gap in right side. Replace weather strip/door sweep to prevent vector entry.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 06/16/2020
