The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/16/2020 As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Vincent’s Pizzeria and Grill in Collegeville was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Observed several employees wearing face masks not covering nose. Face masks must cover mouth and nose.
  • 3 times repeat. Paper towels lacking at kitchen hand sink. Provided. Hand drying provisions must be provided at all times

  • Chlorine sanitizer at 3 bay sink above 100ppm. Facility added more water, maintain 50-100ppm.

  • 3 coolers lacking thermometers. Provided.

  • 3 times repeat. Food stored on floor in walk-in freezer. Store 6 inches off floor to prevent contamination.

  • Foods stored in open original can. Once cans are opened, move food into food-grade storage container.

  • Facility lacking chlorine test strips. Provide.

  • Hand sink water turned off at bottom valve. Facility turned on. Hot and cold water at hand washing sink must be available from faucet for use at all times, employees may not wash hands at prep, 3 bay, or mop sinks, handwashing must be done at handwashing sink only.
