The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/13/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Pho and Beyond was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Chemical sanitizing dish machine not recording proper sanitation levels. Facility may not use unit until repaired and given written permission from MCOPH. Send completion work order stating chlorine concentration to MCOPH. Machine was primed and ran for several cycles. Cl concentration reached 100 ppm. Facility must test cl and ensure machine is properly dispensing cl sanitizer prior to use.

  • Rodent-like droppings observed throughout facility on floors under equipment. Clean all effected areas Facility has 10 business days to provide proof of next professional pest control treatment to MCOPH.

  • Community dumpster lids damaged and cannot properly close. Lids must be replaced.

  • Insufficient lighting in kitchen. Many ceiling fixtures with half lit bulbs.
