King of Prussia Auntie Anne’s bombs inspection, “several dead roach like insects observed” 7 violations cited

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 21, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Auntie Anne’s in the King of Prussia Mall was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 7 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Facility applied for MCOPH COO food license application. Post current MCOPH food license upon arrival in mail in public view

  • Facility has 6 months(until 5/21/20) to obtain MCOPH CFSM certificate

  • Facility lacking written procedure on how to manage vomitus and fecal incidents

  • Lacking common name label on secondary food grade bins below front counter

  • Several dead roach like insects observed on glue traps below soda machine and beneath 3 compartment sink. Facility must submit copy of current pest control report to MCOPH within 10 business days. 

  • Cardboard lining shelf with bags of dry goods

  • Lacking proper air gap at waste line to soda machine/slushi mixer machine and to pretzel wash sink
