Lederach Golf Club in Harleysville fouls inspection; Mold like debris on the splash guard of the ice machine

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/29/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Lederach Golf Club was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • EHS observed dented can of olives in dry storage. Facility removed.

  • Mold like debris on the splash guard of the ice machine. Clean/sanitize according to manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Bain marie was above 41F at the beginning of the inspection. Facility turned the unit down and unit was under 41F at end of inspection.

  • Grooves and discoloration on cutting boards. Resurface/replace.
