The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/25/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Penelope’s Pizza and Pasta was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Backsplash of ice machine unclean with mold-like buildup. Clean and sanitize according to manufacturer’s guidelines.

Employee medication stored on food prep table. Facility removed.

Several foods in dry storage area uncovered/unsealed. Facility covered and sealed. Maintain to prevent contamination.

Rubber gaskets of reach-in cooler unclean with food-like buildup. Clean.
- EHS contacted fire marshal about expired ANSUL tag
