The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on December 4, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Beaver Falls Tuners was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Three compartment sink is not sealed to the wall. Please add a bead of silicone caulking to prevent water and debris from getting behind sink.
  • Food facility does not have available Quat sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration.
  • Observed an accumulation of pink slime on the interior of the ice machine to include the reservoir, ice deflector and top of the ice cuber. Machine was turned off and ice discarded. Machine can not be used until it is cleaned and sanitized.

*Quat Sanitizer Test Strips (0-400 PPM ) provides a simple, reliable, and economical means to measure the concentration of Quaternary Sanitizers.
