The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/11/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Plaza Lanes Bowling was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the cold hold unit and the walk-in cooler (lunch meat, etc.), is not being date marked. Left Handout
  • Observed the microwave in the kitchen to have food spillage. The cold-hold prep unit along the grill line had and accumulation of food residue on the bottom. Both are in need of cleaning.
  • Ice machine interior, a food contact surface, was observed to have pink residue. Needs to be cleaned.
