The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/28/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Salvatore’s Trattoria & Pizzeria was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Rust build-up on interior of ice machine.
- Facility reheating food item in steam table. Facility placed on stove to reheat with in time and temperature requirements.
- Food handler lacking hair restraint
- Cardboard lining shelf in walk in refrigerator.
- Facility lacking test strips to verify proper concentration of chemical sanitizer on hand.
