The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/5/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the
The Giant Food Store in Royersford was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

EHS observed employees putting on gloves without first washing hands. Hands must be washed before gloves use and in between tasks.

EHS observed 3 dented cans on dry storage shelf. Facility voluntarily removed.

EHS observed tubs of icing on the floor in the bakery kitchen. All food needs to be stored at least 6 inches off of the floor.

Grooves/discoloration on cutting boards. Resurface/replace.

EHS observed debris under shelves in walk in cooler in deli area. Clean/sanitize.
