The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/22/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations The Market at Village Shires was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
There is no Plexiglas or 6 foot barrier in place at the cash register area. Provide 6 foot barrier or Plexiglas shield to protect customers and cashier. Upon arrival employees were wearing masks but their noses were exposed. Advised staff the mask must cover their nose and mouth. Employees corrected immediately. New Violation. Tuna salad, chicken salad, pasta salad and other time temperature control for safety foods on the left side of the deli display case refrigerator are not at a safe temperature. These were discarded. Eggs, pork roll, cheese and other time temperature control for safety foods in the 2 door retail refrigerator were not at a safe temperature. These were relocated to the walk in cooler. Have unit serviced to ensure it can hold foods at 41°F or below. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/22/2020 |
Ready to eat time/temperature control for safety (TCS) foods are not being date marked as required such as chicken salad, tuna salad, pasta salad, cold slaw and etc. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, TCS food prepared and held in a food facility for more than 24 hours shall be clearly marked to be sold or discarded within 7 days or the manufacturers use by date whichever comes first.
