The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on January 9, 2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations The Pizza Stop Restaurant in Collegeville was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.
The Pizza Stop has failed all but one inspection since November 2016:
- November 29, 2016- 5 violations
- May 3, 2017- 9 violations
- October 27, 2017- 13 violations
- May 18, 2018- 7 violations
- August 14, 2018- 5 violations
- January 30, 2019- 6 violations
- July 2, 2019- passed the inspection with 2 lessor violations
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Paper towels lacking at kitchen hand sink. Corrected.
- Interior back splash of large ice machine with some rust and not clean. Clean and sanitize or replace back splash.
- Gasket coming off around door of reach in freezer. Repair or replace.
- Sanitizer in dishwasher measuring at or above 200 ppm Chlorine. Do not use. Owner stated technician coming on this date. Send copy of work repair receipt toMCOPH showing sanitizer at 50-100 ppm
- Dust like debris above pizza oven and around vent. Clean.
