The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/4/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations The Valley Café was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Facility lacking current Certified Food Safety Manager. Full time employee has Serv Safe certificate, submit copy of certificate and CFSM application to PO Box 311 Norristown, PA 19404. EHS emailed CFSM application.
- Jar of peeled garlic with mold-like buildup. Facility voluntarily discarded.
- Two coolers lacking thermometers. Facility provided.
- Bottom interior of 2 door freezer unclean with food-like debris. Clean and sanitize.
