The Bucks County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 9/4/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Vault Brewing Company was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
Observed employee drinks on food prep surfaces. Eating and drinking in the food prep area is not permitted. Drinks must be stored in a designated area away from food and food contact surfaces. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Observed employees apply gloves without washing their hands. Review proper handwashing protocol and glove use with employees. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 09/04/2020 |
The food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils are not being properly cleaned and sanitized. All wares and food contact surfaces of equipment and utensils must be cleaned and sanitized after each use or at required time intervals. – Glass washer at the downstairs bar must be serviced. Do not use until it is providing 50ppm-100ppm of sanitizer per wash cycle. – 3 compartment sink sanitizer dispenser was hooked up to a dish detergent bucket instead of a sanitizer bucket. This was corrected. Facility will use steramine tablets for sanitizer. – Provide Chlorine based test strips for dish machines. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Time/temperature control for safety (TCS) food must be cold held at or below 41ºF. – Food in lowboy refrigerators is at unsafe temperatures. – Doors on (right) lowboy refrigerator do not create a flush seal. Repair or replace. Submit service reports to this department once completed. Repeat Violation. To be Corrected By: 09/11/2020 |
Observed Raid in dry storage area. These pesticides are not permitted for use inside a licensed food facility. Remover from facility. All pest management must be done by a professional pest control company. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 09/04/2020 |
Observed pests during inspection. CFSM stated they just had Orkin out to treat. Submit service invoice to this department and increase treatment frequency if needed. New Violation. |
