The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 3/13/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Saladworks at the Village at Newtown was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Front hand washing sink is slow draining and has food debris in the basin. Hand wash sinks can only be used for hand washing. No dumping or washing of any other items is approved. Repair sink so that it drains efficiently.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/14/2020 
  • Ice chute on the soda machine is accumulating a black mold-like substance. Clean and sanitize. Clean at a frequency that prevents accumulation.  Corrected On-Site.  Repeat Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020  
  • Light shield in the front display refrigeration is accumulating food debris. Clean and sanitize. Clean at a frequency that prevents accumulation.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 03/13/2020
