The Montgomery County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 1/27/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Village Market-Exxon was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

CFSM expired. The Facility needs to enroll in a certified food safety manager course within the next 30 days. After completed send a copy of current certificate, check for $70, and a reciprocity application to the MCOPH. MCOPH CFSM reciprocity application can be downloaded @ www.health.montcopa.org

EHS observed bottles of ketchup and other condiments being stored in cabinets. The Products label stated they need to be refrigerated after opening. Products being held at room temperature. Facility voluntarily discarded.

EHS observed mouse droppings in cabinets underneath coffee and hot holding station. Facility stated extermination is taking place every 6 months. The Facility needs to send the most recent extermination report to EHS and obtain a current extermination report and send to EHS.

Trash like debris on walk in cooler floor. Clean/sanitize.
