The Chester County Health Department conducted an expected follow-up retail food inspection on 7/6/2020. As result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Acme in West Goshen Township was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 1 violation was found.
This marks the second inspection in a month Acme was found “Out of Compliance” according to the Chester County Health Department. It’s the sixth going back to July 2018:
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Numerous expired perishable foods were observed throughout the facility within refrigerated merchandisers, including: * Milk * Prepackaged deli turkey & ham Closely monitor dates on all foods. Foods with expired sell-by/use by dates must be removed from storage/sales areas and discarded. Note: Staff called to merchandisers to review all product dates at time of inspection.
