The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 21, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the NAME was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 19 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Hand sink in kitchen access blocked by rack stored in front of it.
- (2 times repeat violations )-No soap at the kitchen hand sink.
- No employee hand wash reminder signs at both men’s and women’s toilet rooms; two hand wash signs issued today.
- Raw burger patties stored over the dressing containers in 2-door reach-in refrigerator.
- (3 times repeat violations)-No date markings on facility prepared foods (chicken wings, sauces) and sliced lunch meats (ham). Use by date markings, no more than 7 days after opening or preparing foods, are required on ready-to-eat foods or prepared foods, held at the establishment for more than 24 hours and stored under refrigeration. Failure to comply will lead to further enforcement and/or issuance of citation.
- Purple solution spray cleaner bottle not labeled.
- No probe thermometer to take internal temperature of foods.
- Onion and flour bag stored on the floor at rear storage hallway.
- Shoes stored adjacent to canned food storage in rear hall way.
- Foods stored in direct contact with plastic shopping bags and trash bag (bread in black bags) in refrigerator and freezers.
- One of the food handler with no hair restraint.
- Blankets stored on top of packaged pizza boxes.
- No chlorine sanitizer test strips.
- Missing faucet arm at the right side washing compartment of 3-compartment sink faucet. Follow-up pending on or after 11/25/19.
- Excess grease accumulation on the right side of the griddle.
- Wall opening at the access to attic area with opened attic door in kitchen.
- Misplaced and damaged ceiling tiles in kitchen.
- Automobile tire stored in the storage area near the toilet rooms.
- Ceiling fluorescent light in rear storage hall area not shielded or shatter resistant.
