The Chester County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/14/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Acme Market in West Goshen was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection  one violation was cited. The Health Department has returned three times in the last month checking for expired product.

  • Large quantity of expired foods observed throughout refrigerated cases of retail area, including: * Packaged hot dogs * Packaged lunch meat * Packaged breakfast sausages * Individual convenience deli snacks Closely monitor dates on all foods and remove expired foods from food service/sales areas.
