The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on December 23, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Papa John’s in Beaver Falls was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • Facility still has a significant number of gnats in the ware washing area. It appears no effort has been made to correct the situation. Gnats are still congregated around an open trash can and there is still standing water around the hot water tank and grease trap.
  • Standing water is still present around the hot water tank that is leading from the grease trap. This is a repeat violation from the out-of-compliance inspection conducted on 12/17/19.
  • Trash receptacles are not insect resistant. Gnats are still congregated around an open trash container that is half filled. This is a repeat violation from the out-of-compliance inspection conducted on 12/17/19.
