The Bucks County Health Department conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/3/21. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Friendly’s was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 6 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Knife/utensil magnet is unclean. Clean at a frequency that prevents accumulation of grease and food debris.  New Violation.  
Mechanical dishwasher did not provide 50ppm-100ppm during a wash cycle. Sanitizer concentration was corrected during the inspection. The sanitizer was empty and replenished with a new bottle of sanitizer.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.  
Food in the hot hold unit were not at 135°F. When reheating foods to prepare for hot holding, the food must be heated to 165°F and then held at 135°F. These foods were reheated during the inspection to 165°F.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.  

Time/temperature control for safety (TCS) food must be cold held at or below 41ºF.

Food in cold holding were not at safe temperatures for cold holding. Cold holds must be set up with the ice bath completely surround the food containers. The ice level must match the level of food inside the container otherwise the food will not maintain a safe temperature for cold holding.

Bain marie must be repaired or replaced for sufficient cold holding. Submit service report or specification sheets for a new bain marie to this department within 7 days.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 02/10/2021  

Observed rodent droppings on the dry storage shelves. Clean and sanitize these shelves. Contact a professional pest control company to assess the rodent activity and exterminate. Submit the pest control service report to this department.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 02/10/2021  
Utensils at the grill were improperly stored in between uses. In-use utensils must be stored in a clean and dry container.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.  
-Dishwasher drain was not cleaned out from the day before. This must be emptied at a frequency that prevents food accumulation and cannot be left overnight.
– Exterior surface of the dish machines is unclean. Clean and maintain.
– Walls throughout the kitchen are unclean. Clean and maintain.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 02/10/2021
