The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/16/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Carlucci’s Grill was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 8 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
Kitchen handwash sink has been removed. Per CFSM, this is only temporary until wall repairs are complete. Facility has insufficient number of handwashing sinks. Replace sink immediately. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 08/12/2020 |
Interior (upper) surfaces within the ice machine contain a black, mold-like substance. Empty ice, detail clean and sanitize all interior surfaces before use. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 08/12/2020 |
The high-heat mechanical dishwasher is not sanitizing properly. Final rinse temperature reached only 130°F. Facility must use the 3 compartment sink for all ware-washing until the mechanical unit is serviced and sanitizing properly. Service technician arrived during inspection to assess and repair. Unit was converted to low-heat and chemical sanitizing until replacement of machine. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Many foods in the walk-in cooler were measured above range for cold-holding temperature: Salmon (51°F), focaccia sauce (63°F), boneless chicken (61°F), ham (53°F), soup (50°F) and whole chickens (51°F) were discarded during inspection. Ambient temperature of the unit was measured at 52°F. Service technician arrived during inspection to assess and repair. Freon was added to unit and will return tomorrow (08-13-20) to perform a leak test and seal if necessary. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
Multiple refrigeration storage units (walk-in cooler and salad prep unit) do not have a thermometer within. In a mechanically refrigerated unit, the thermometer shall be located in the warmest part of a refrigerated unit. New Violation. To be Corrected By: 08/13/2020 |

There is a leak of unknown origin in the area below the mechanical dishwashing unit. Repair or replace affected plumbing fixtures to ensure proper operation. Service technician diagnosed cause of leak and bypassed the heat booster on the mechanical dishwasher. Unit will be converted to low-heat and chemical sanitizing. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. |
An accumulation of dust is present at the HVAC vent and adjacent ceiling tiles above the cook-line. Thoroughly clean to prevent contamination. Repeat Violation. |
