Fairless Hills KFC inspection; Mold-like accumulation spout drive-thru beverage dispenser, ice machine contains a mold-like substance

The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 7/7/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the KFC Restaurant in Fairless Hills was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 3 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

1. There is a mold-like accumulation on a spout at the drive-thru beverage dispenser.
CFSM corrected during inspection.

2. Interior baffle of the ice machine contains a mold-like substance.
Empty ice, detail clean and sanitize interior surfaces and maintain. Regularly clean and sanitize affected area.  Repeat Violation.  

The door gasket of the drive-thru Delfield low-boy refrigerator is torn and in poor condition.
Replace.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 11/30/2020  
Multiple hood filters are not installed. CFSM stated that the pieces missing were to be cleaned.
Facility was instructed to replace immediately and clean when not operating of no spares are available.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/07/2020  

1. Floor area behind and below the frying equipment contains standing liquid/oil.

2. Floor below the ice machine is unclean with trash, miscellaneous residue and standing liquid.

3. Floor and walls below the drive-thru beverage dispenser are unclean with a black, mold-like substance.

4. Fan covers as well as sections of walls and ceiling in the walk-in cooler contain a coating of a black, mold-like substance.

Detail clean, sanitize and maintain cleanliness of areas referenced.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 07/08/2020
