The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on January 13, 2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the McDonald’s Restaurant in Fairless Hills was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 4 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

  • The interior baffle within the ice machine contains a pink, mold-like substance. Empty ice, detail clean and sanitize interior surfaces.  New Violation.  
  • Food worker observed not wearing a hair restraint as required.
    Employees, including managers, shall wear hair restraints such as hats, hair coverings or nets, that are effectively designed and worn to keep their hair from contacting exposed food; clean equipment, utensils and linens; and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles.
    Employee donned hair restraint during inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  Repeat Violation.  
  • There are broken and missing cove tiles at the entrance to the walk-in cooler. Replace affected tiles and grouting to provide a surface area which is smooth, easily cleanable and nonabsorbent.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 02/10/2020
  • Numerous (>20) bags of trash are piled directly on the ground (and each other) within the dumpster enclosure. The trash dumpster is full.
    Contact refuse removal vendor for pick-up.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 01/13/2020
