The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on November 26, 2019. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Francos Pizza Family Restaurant in Collegeville was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 13 violations were found.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:
- Current MCOPH license not posted at time of inspection
- Dented can of slice ripe olives observed on storage shelf, voluntarily removed from shelf.
- Food debris build-up on food slicer
- Proper date marking lacking on prepared food items in secondary containers in walk-in refrigerator.
- Pizza boxes stored directly on the floor.
- Tongs stored on oven door handle along cooks line.
- Back of the Shelf under grill unclean
- Interior and back ledge of the all bain marie units unclean
- Door gasket unclean on 2 door freezer next to sandwich bain marie
- Clear lid on the small chest freezer unclean
- Floor unclean along cooks line.
- 5Wall and gas line behind/below cooking equipment unclean along cooks line.
- Mop not stored hanging or inverted to dry
