The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services Office of Public Health (MCOPH) conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/7/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations the Wendy’s in Hatfield was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found and include one or more violations determined to be food borne illness risk factors.
The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

No hot running water observed at hand washing sink outside of ware washing area. A 24-hour follow-up inspection will be conducted to ensure that hot water has been restored to sink. Hand washing sinks must have hot running water of an adequate temperature supplied at all times.

Facility observed storing BIB soda containers directly on top of bags of rock salt on floor in rear storage area.

Facility unable to located chlorine sanitizer test strips for chlorine ware washing machine. Locate or obtain immediately.

Food accumulation observed blocking drain at mop sink.

Stagnant water accumulation observed beneath Coke Freestyle machine in customer area.
