The Bucks County Department of Health conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 8/3/2020. As a result of that inspection, and due to the severity of the specific violations Anthony’s Pizza was cited as being, “Out of Compliance” with Pennsylvania’s food safety regulations. During this inspection a total of 5 violations were found.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

Upon arrival at this facility, employees working in the kitchen were not wearing masks. All employees in the facility are required to wear either a mask or shield. Keep mouths and noses covered.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. To be Corrected By: 08/03/2020  
The slicer is not clean. There are dried food particles on it. It must be disassembled and properly cleaned and sanitized prior to using it again.
Wing sauce bucket that had dried sauce on it from last night was sitting on a shelf at the cook line. It was moved to the 3-compartment sink to be properly washed, rinsed and sanitized before being used again. Do not leave soiled wares out overnight. Make sure that they are all properly cleaned and snaitized and put away at the end of each night.  New Violation.  
*Meatballs, which are time/temperature controlled for safety foods, were not properly heated prior to being placed in the steam table unit. These are commercially prepared meatballs and must be reheated to at least 135°F before being placed in the steam table unit.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.  
Ready-to-eat, time/temperature controlled for safety (RTE TCS) foods are not properly date marked. All RTE TCS foods must be marked with either the dates on which they were opened or prepared, or their discard date, which is a maximum of 7 days from when they were opened, or prepared. Mark each batch accordingly today.  New Violation.  
Soiled knives are being stored between equipment across from the cook line. All wares are required to be properly washed, rinsed and sanitized prior to putting them away. Do not store wares between equipment. These areas are not easy to clean.  Repeat Violation. To be Corrected By: 08/03/2020
